====== Contacts ======
===== (Change) Visit Address =====
By nature, a //Contact// has a visit address. When you create a new Contact from an Existing //Account//, the new Contact automatically receives the Visit Address from his Account.
There may be instances where a Contact was linked to another Account and thus has a wrong Visit Address. With the Button //Copy Account to Contact Address// you can change the Address to the new //Parent Account//.
==== Change Address for Multiple Contacts ====
In some cases, you need to to change the Visit Address for multiple, or all Contacts of an Account fi when the Account moves to a new location, or when Contacts move to a new location.
There is a Workflow you can use to take care of this:
* From the Account View, open the //Contacts// View in the Top Ribbon.
* This opens the //Contact Associated View// List. (FYI: Here you can select any Attribute and edit it in Line).
* Select One, All or Multiple Contact lines and the menu bar will change to new options.
* Press the //More Commands// Button (3 dots) and Select //Run Workflow//.
* A new Window opens. Select //Copy Account Visit Address to Contact//.
* This will do the job in the background, so it may take a minute before all Contacts are modified.
===== CRM4 Link =====
If the //Contact// was imported from Microsoft CRM Version 4, you can copy the URL to the original CRM4 record:
- In the //Contact// go to the Tab //CRM4// (located at the bottom of the form).
- If the //Contact// was imported from //CRM4//, then the field //IK// contains a value.
- When you press the button //ClipBoard//, the URL is copied to the Clipboard.
- Open CRM4 in the Parallels Client and past the URL in the Internet Explorer's URL bar.
- Press Enter.
===== Email and Email Address 2 =====
A Contact can have up to 2 email addresses:
//Email// : The primary address. This is the Contact's personal corporate email address. This email address is used for all normal business communication with the Contact (including marketing related).
//Email Address 2// : A secondary address or fall back address or even private address. This field should not be used for general mailboxes such as //purchasing@, invoice@,....//. For these situations we create a new Contact //Purchasing//.
