====== Sample Requests ======

Mostly applies to Leads for Yamaichi who requst a sample of the product they are interested in. Historically, the conversion ratio from Leads who reqested a sample to a design-in, is low. however, we want to track the number of Leads for a given supplier and also what we have "sold and shipped" even if no real design-in came through.

===== Procedure =====

The procedure is similar to a regular sales and order process:
  - sales: In CRM, create a //Lead// and convert to an //Opportunity//.
  - sales: Create a //Quote// for the sample product. 
  -   * Add "Sample" to the //Additional product description// 
  -   * //Purchase Price// = 0 
  -   * //Sales Price// = 0
  - sales: Add a suitable "shipping and transportation" product to the //Quote// and confirm pricing with our logistics. (for samples we use another shipping procedure).
  - sales: send the Quotation with the Orderfrom included to the prospect.
  - Orderdesk: once we receive the completed and signed Orderform, create an //Order// as usual.
  - Logistics: If nescessary request the sample from the supplier and ship it with the cheapest shipping option. The usual logistics procedure applies.
  - Finance: send invoice when shipped
  - Sales: Follow up on the opportunity when shipped (normal //Order Fulfillment// workflow applies when shipped.)
